Connect Klaviyo to Tend

User guide · Updated October 3, 2026

Tend is an AI assistant you text or use at heytend.me. Once Klaviyo is connected, you can ask Tend in plain English to look up your lists, segments, profiles, flows and campaigns, and to build lists, templates and campaigns for you. Tend asks before it changes or sends anything in your Klaviyo account.

Set up

  1. Join the early-access list. Go to heytend.me/login and enter your mobile number. Tend is invite-only while in early access, so your number is added to our early-users list.
  2. Get approved. When we approve you, you receive a text message on that phone with a link that signs you in to Tend. The link works once and lasts 24 hours. From then on, you sign in with your phone number and a code we text you.
  3. Connect Klaviyo, in either of two ways:
    • By text: text Tend “Connect my Klaviyo”. Tend replies with a secure link. Open it, sign in to Klaviyo on its own page, and click Allow. Tend carries on the conversation by itself once you are connected.
    • On the web: sign in at heytend.me with the same phone number, open Accounts, choose Klaviyo and click Connect. Sign in to Klaviyo and click Allow.
  4. Check it is connected. heytend.me/integrations/klaviyo shows Connected, with a Disconnect button if you ever want to remove it.
  5. Ask Tend. By text or on the web, ask in plain English for what you need from Klaviyo. Tend asks you before it changes or sends anything.

What you can ask Tend

For anything that changes your account, such as creating a list, adding a profile, editing a template, or creating or sending a campaign, Tend tells you exactly what it is about to do and waits for your yes.

What data moves between Klaviyo and Tend

Read our Privacy Policy and Security page for details.

Permissions Tend asks for

Read and write access to accounts (read only), campaigns, catalogs, conversations, coupons and coupon codes, data privacy, events, flows, images, lists, metrics, profiles, push tokens, segments, subscriptions, tags and templates, so that Tend can answer and act on what you ask across your Klaviyo account.

Disconnecting

Open heytend.me/integrations/klaviyo and click Disconnect, or click Disconnect next to Klaviyo under Accounts in Tend. Tend loses access at once; nothing in Klaviyo is changed or deleted.
